In recent years Women’s football has finally begun to receive the attention and admiration it deserves, but despite big TV deals and successes both on and off the pitch it’s still battling for the spotlight - as well as battling preconceptions from old white gammons who probably voted for Brexit and confuse ‘their’ with ‘there’. 

 

The FA tasked us with writing their start of season spot, to get fans excited for the Barclays Women Super League’s new season. In the film, we wanted to challenge some of those preconceptions around the skill and physicality of the women’s game so we wrote It’s all Kicking off, where a pre-season photoshoot featuring players from across the league descends into chaos.
