THE 101
With EURO 22 set to become one of biggest women-only sporting events of all time, Just Eat wanted to celebrate how far the game has come.
After doing a bit of digging, we found out that 101 years ago women's football was completely banned in the UK. But despite 50 years of not being able to play, the women's game is now bigger than ever.
The problem is, finding a local team to play for is hard work - with many women's teams already oversubscribed, so we wanted to use Just Eat's profile, as an official EURO 22 sponsor, to kickstart 101 new teams – one for every year since that batshit crazy ban came in.
CLUB IN A BOX
Players who were interested in starting their own club visited our website where they could apply. We had over 100 applications in the first 24 hours of the site going live, and we're currently at 450 applicants.
